A Letter from
Executive Director Becky Wagner Dear
Friends,
For many years, Fred Rogers taught us
all—adults and children alike—about life’s biggest choice:
“The real issue in life is not how many blessings we
have, but what we do with our blessings. Some people have many
blessings and hoard them. Some have few and give everything
away.”
In a world where everyone is too busy,
Interfaith Works is proud to have more than 7,000 volunteers
who offer their time and talents to neighbors in need, and
15,000 supporters who give through monetary donations and
in-kind contributions. These supporters come to us from
different faith communities, service clubs, corporate and
government offices and schools - proving that Interfaith
Works. They come to us because they want to express the
gratitude for the life they have with the generosity of their
time, talent and resources helping others. And, by reaching
beyond themselves, they receive something immeasurable – the
gift of giving.
You are visiting our Web site because
you “get it.” You “get” that we are all neighbors and have the
responsibility of offering our hands and hearts to those in
need. You “get” that it is our differences - of faith,
heritage and means - that enrich our lives and our community,
and you embrace this diversity. You know that we are all more
alike than different. It is your commitment and willingness to
give both service and financial support that makes this work--
interfaith work--possible. Please consider becoming part of
this great endeavor, and help make our community a better
place.
Thank you,
