Interfaith Works operates two Interfaith Clothing Centers (ICC), the
Rockville Interfaith Clothing Center located at 751 Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville Maryland and the
Hans Rosenfeld Upcounty Clothing Center at 620 E. Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg Maryland.
The ICCs have been helping qualified low-income families in Montgomery Country stretch their dollars for over 20 years. Coming from every corner of Montgomery County, clients are young and old, male and female, single and married, and span all races. They are working poor, homeless, disabled, recent immigrants, parolees, welfare recipients and seniors living on fixed incomes. Over one 100 congregations, social service organizations and government agencies refer clients to our centers.
Thousands of individuals, businesses, schools, camps, service organizations and congregations donate time and goods, which makes our program possible. Donations of clothing, shoes, and household items are distributed to its clients during shopping hours throughout the week. Clients select and receive free of charge, the items they need and want. Interfaith Works assists over 54,000 low-income and homeless families and individuals yearly in this way. By providing basic necessities free of charge we enable our clients to use their scarce financial resources for other pressing needs, including rent, food, transportation, and healthcare.
The centers also distribute
backpacks and new school supplies to students every August, and provide
layettes to new mothers, because all children in our community deserve to have the basics.
The ICCs are open year round and closed on Tuesdays, Sundays, Federal holidays, Yom Kippur, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Snow policy follows the Federal Government.
Operating Hours at both Centers:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday - 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
